From MicroLED Modular Design to Rollable Screens, Explore the Possibilities Here

Discover the Future of TV Displays for Your Home Theater

Your screen is the centerpiece of your home theater design; and finding the right display that delivers an exceptional picture while fitting in with your design can be a challenge – especially with the multitude of options available.

In this blog, we look at some of the most innovative televisions coming soon to Coastal Maine that will help you get the most from your home’s theater setup. Whether you have a multi-purpose media room or a dedicated home theater at your Kennebunkport-area property, these top-of-the-line displays will offer beautiful imagery that will enhance your viewing experience.

Keep reading in the sections below to learn more about these remarkable TVs.

Samsung’s The Frame

Sure, you can have flat-panel displays all around your home, but black rectangles in every room aren't very aesthetically pleasing. Samsung’s The Frame, already available, helps your TV blend in with your décor, replacing the eyesore of a black box with stunning artwork displayed when you’re not watching anything. A frame of customizable bezels surrounds the screen, and just like a traditional picture frame, the device hangs flush against the wall. Samsung offers homeowners different options for the TV’s art mode. They can choose artwork from Samsung’s collection, subscribe to an art store that regularly updates with breathtaking pieces from popular artists and international museum collections, or display their own images to give The Frame an ever more personal touch. When you’re ready to watch a movie in your media room or multi-purpose home theater, your 65-inch screen then can display content in 4K Ultra HD resolution – compatible with the latest in Blu-ray and premium streaming service releases.

Séura’s 65-inch 4K TV Mirror

You might know Séura for their industry-leading smart mirrors or indoor waterproof TVs for bathrooms or vanity rooms or even their stunning outdoor television solutions; But Séura also makes the perfect hidden TV for hybrid home theater or media room applications. Their stunning 65-inch 4K Ultra HD television is unlike any comparable TV on the market – when not in use, it actually doubles as a mirror. With more than 100 frame designs, you can choose from a classic wood to a more modern design. Séura’s TV mirror masquerades as a stunning interior design addition to any media room setup. And when you’re ready to begin watching your favorite movie, you will be able to do so in stunning 4K resolution.

Samsung’s The Wall

The Frame is an excellent option for smaller media room configurations, but if you're looking for theater size and quality, Samsung’s The Wall offers you a massive display that reinforces the cinema atmosphere. The Wall is a modular microLED display that offers a groundbreaking entertainment experience with astounding clarity thanks to pure blacks and true colors. LED modules that resemble wall tiles come together to create a huge canvas with ultra-HD video similar to what you would get from a premium QLED TV. When it comes to home theater design, it doesn’t get more dramatic than The Wall, which gives you pristine floor-to-ceiling visuals that draw you deep into your media. Although it has a modular – and therefore customizable – design, a 219-inch model was on display at CES this year. It’s currently available for preorder, with a wider release expected later this year or in early 2020.

Sony’s Master Series 8K

For decades, Sony has been deeply committed to helping artists fully convey the images they have in their minds, and its new Master Series 8K TV is a revolutionary flat-panel display that delivers optimized ultra-HD image processing. Every detail in the picture is upscaled to brilliant 8K quality detail, and high-intensity, independently controlled LED modules provide precise control from the deepest shadow to the brightest light. High-speed movement is clear without blur, and colors stay vibrant when viewed from any angle. Although it is not on the market just yet, the 8K Master Series Z9G will be available in 85-inch and 98-inch models, perfect for any dedicated theater or media room setup. Currently available is Sony’s lineup of Master Series 4K UHD TV models, with the largest available in a 75-inch model and boasting Sony’s industry-leading Picture Processor X1 for upscaling.

LG’s Signature OLED TV R

At this year’s CES expo, LG stunned attendants with its Signature OLED TV R, a 4K flat-screen that rolls in and out of a base so that it disappears completely from view when not in use. It will be a gamechanger for home theater design, allowing you to replicate the benefits of a TV that lowers from the ceiling or rises from the floor without having to install a complex mechanism into the architecture of your room. You don’t lose any picture quality with this rollable technology, and the base has a 100-watt Dolby Atmos speaker to give you more resonant audio than you would get from most flat-panel displays. You can expect the OLED TV R to go on sale some time this year.
